Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of School Manager (the "Service"), provided by SCHOLARS PRIVATE COLLEGE ("we", "us") from Nigeria. By creating an account, using the Service or paying for a plan, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the school you represent.

1. The Service

School Manager is a web-based school management platform covering students and classes, admissions, results and report cards, fees and accounting, payroll, attendance, timetables, transport, communication and optional AI-assisted teaching tools.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate details and keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
• School administrators create and manage staff, student and parent accounts, and are responsible for the actions taken under them.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account and must report suspected misuse.

3. Subscriptions, billing and renewals

SCHOLARS PRIVATE COLLEGE sells the Service directly and is the seller of record for every order. Card and bank payments are collected on our behalf by Paystack, our payment processor. Paystack handles card authorisation and settlement; billing questions, cancellations and refunds are handled by us using the contact details on this site.

• A subscription unlocks the Service for an entire school for the plan's term. Current plans and prices are on our Pricing page.
• All prices are shown and charged in Nigerian Naira (₦). Any bank or card fees applied by your own bank are outside our control.
• Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We email a reminder before a yearly renewal.
• Termly and Sessional plans are single payments. They expire at the end of the term and never bill again; you choose whether to buy another period, and new periods stack on any remaining days.
• You may cancel automatic renewal at any time from the Subscription page; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
• AI credit packs are one-off purchases consumed by AI features. Failed payments may suspend access until settled.
• Subscription codes issued by us grant access for the stated term and are non-transferable.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or malware;
• attempt to access another school's data, or probe, scan or bypass security controls;
• resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without our written permission;
• use messaging features to send spam or content prohibited by the relevant carrier;
• use the Service to store data you have no lawful basis to hold.

5. Your data and content

Your school retains ownership of the records it enters. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, back up and display that content in order to operate the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. AI features

AI-generated lesson notes, questions, narration and summaries are drafting aids. You must review them for accuracy and suitability before classroom or examination use. We do not warrant AI output.

7. Availability and support

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance, third-party outages and events beyond our control may cause downtime. Support is provided during business hours via the contact details below.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, breach of these Terms or unlawful use, with notice where reasonably practicable. On termination you may request an export of your data before it is deleted in line with our retention period.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data caused by factors outside our control. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms and will announce material changes in the app; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.

Whole-school billing summary

One subscription unlocks the whole school for a fixed period. Prices are quoted in Naira, every plan is a single payment, and no plan bills you again. When a period ends, access simply stops until you choose to pay for another period; a new period stacks on any days you have left.
